When OPP needed a major overhaul on their site, they turned to Sharp Commerce and Jamersan for the Magento 2 design and implementation work they needed.
Year, make, and model lookup are always key in an automotive site, and Jamersan built one for their particular needs. It focuses on vehicle categories like trucks, SUVs, ATVs, and others which are commonly customized for off-road use.
Many of OPP’s parts are sourced through their membership in the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA). SEMA maintains a vendor database of parts with year, make, and model information, but an interface didn’t exist that would allow that database to be integrated into an eCommerce store’s product catalog and updated anywhere close to real time.
Jamersan worked with OPP and SEMA to create a solution – the SEMA Data Co-op to Magento Connector. This connector is also available for other automotive customers with a Magento site as well – contact Jamersan for more information! A SEMA data membership is required. The connector saves OPP countless man-hours in maintaining a parts database, and allowed them to add hundreds of thousands of parts to their catalog.
